The show has a full slate of experts & otherwise to help you get the most out of the 
Kawartha's - proving that a place this awesome can get even more awesome-r 
(I know... not a real word & really bad grammar but hey... it's true!).

Fixin' the Cottage

Maintenance - who needs maintenance?! - We're livin' in cottage country baby!!!
 
OK, OK living in cottage country is the best! But it still means some routine 
maintenance has to be done around your castle or cottage. Things like 
septic pumping, water treatment, pest control and cleaning up after the

and Kawartha Lakes Fire Rescue/EMS couldn't agree more. 
They'll be on site everyday to teach about the importance 
of safe burning and fire prevention. 

Big Baloon

Hey, hey, next time you look up to marvel at the birds (all flocking to their newly 
built birdhouse - good work!) You might notice a very familiar, very LARGE baloon! 
An event this successful has people clamoring over one another trying to get a spot 
and the guys & gals at RE/MAX All-Stars Realty Inc are no dfferent. Except they've 
arranged to arrive in style - with the giant RE/MAX hot-air baloon. 
So, if you see it in the sky follow it to The Fenlon Falls Country Living Show.

way up into the dollar category! Recently the DIY trend has become a 
rapidly growing segment in the home renovation industry and the basis 
for many, many media outlets including television, radio and print.

have we got a seminar for you! To build a birdhouse or flower planter 
isn't just a small weekend project, it's the first step to bigger DIY projects.

being in the Kawartha Lakes is a great place to be.

This statement has even more value when you have the 
Kawartha Lakes at your doorstep. 
The unforgettable sights, sounds and smells of the Kawartha Lakes are 
not fully experienced until you see what life looks, sounds and feels 
like from a boat. Whether you are 2 or 92 boating can bring you a boat-
load of enjoyment and represents a great way to escape the stresses 
of everyday life while spending quality time with your family and 
friends. 
Local expert and Discover Boating board member Carly Poole from 
Buckeye Marine (www.buckeyemarine.com) will be joining us Friday,
Saturday and Sunday to give us some insight into what boating is all about. 
Ms. Poole’s seminars will include information on boating safety, places 
to go and things to do in the Kawartha’s, all by boat, activities that can 
be enjoyed on the water, and also a question and answer segment 
to answer all of your boating questions. 
Join us as we learn why life in cottage country is simply better with a boat! 

Country Gardening

Gardening has been done throughout history for a number of 

different reason. The obvious reason... is sustainability.

However, to many people, gardening now represents an opportunity 

to be one with nature. So, beyond the fun of getting your hands and 

knees dirty gardening provides you with a creative outlet that any 

age can enjoy while relieving stress.

There are a number of tips and tricks to keep in mind to make this 

stress relieving pastime even more serene. 

A few of  them are: Getting to know the proper plants to choose for your

landscape, the plants that prosper in our climate, learning how 

different combinations of plants work well together and of course 

knowing how to best care for the gardens that you have.

Many of these questions will be answered by our experts from the

Fenelon Falls Horticultural Society during the Gardening Seminar. To

New Location & a New Name

This May 3^rd, 4th and 5th will see the introduction of a newly expanded show, entitled the Fenelon Falls Country Living Show. Building on the success of one great show is the whole idea. This year, after 29 years, what has become known as the Home and Cottage Show will move to the new Fenelon Falls Community Centre. New name, new location.

It's bigger, better and will feature even more great exhibitors – from home renovations, windows, home decor and traditional services to a newly expanded list of “quality living” exhibitors and demonstrations – even watercraft and sports equipment. Everything to make your summer living better!  Over 100 booths full of useful information and great sources for that Spring project. This year’s show will feature new entertainment and useful seminars on gardening, boating skills, and safety information. Get some new ideas and some useful entertaining tips.  

Bring the kids. The new Community Centre will offer a kids play area with activities, entertainment and an exceptional Exotic Pet Zoo. The food court will offer a delicious meal or a quick snack.
